How do I change the subtitles and the language of a channel I am watching?
To change the subtitles/language of a channel you are watching, press OK and select Options at the bottom right of the screen. There, you can choose what happens with subtitles and language.
How can I see what’s on other channels without changing the one I am watching?
Just press the Up and Down arrows to navigate other channels without leaving the one you are watching.
How can I see all the available Cytavision channels and programmes on a single screen?
To see all the available Cytavision channels and programmes, press HOME and then select TV Guide in the various categories.
What is Time-Shifted TV?
It is the facility that lets you watch a live programme up to 4 hours earlier. When activated, the service shows a clock icon to remind you that you are watching a time-shifted programme and not the live transmission.
What is the TV Guide?
The electronic programme guide or TV Guide shows the daily programme of each channel, which is listed by its number. You can see the next or previous programme on the line of the current programme. The TV Guide lets you go back up to 7 days and watch programmes on Catch-Up TV or forward up to 7 days in order to set Reminders or Video Recording. You navigate by changing the date at the top of the screen or with the right and left arrows on the remote control.
What is Catch-up TV?
It is the facility that lets you watch any programme on a channel that permits it at any time up to 7 days after its original screening. You will find information about which channels offer this facility at www.cyta.com.cy/tv-channel-catalogue/en.
What is Movies & Series Menu?
The Movies & Series Menu is Cytavision’s movie library. You can navigate the categories and find details of each film or series and watch trailers for selected movies in all genres for every member of the family. Movies are rented for a one-off charge that lets you watch the film as often as you wish for 24 hours. For more information, click here.
How do I rent a movie?
You select the movie you want to rent and press “Buy” in the options field. Next, you confirm your purchase by pressing OK and enter your Buy PIN to watch the movie.
How do I see which movies I have rented?
You can see your movie rental history by going to “My Account” and in “Settings”, select “My purchases”.
What is Video Recording?
Cytavision lets you record content in order to watch it on TV via your Set Top Box, on your mobile devices or PC. It is saved for up to 45 days from the day of recording. Recording must be programmes before the start of the programme. Once recorded, the content can be watched on all your devices and all profiles (family members) can access it. To activate the service, you must subscribe to one of the two Video Recording packages with a duration of either up to 5 hours or 10 hours. For more information, click here.
How do I set up a new profile?
On the Main Menu, go to “My Account” and select “Add Profile”.
How many profiles can I set up?
You can have up to 4 profiles. Together with the Administrator Profile, you can have up to 5 profiles.
How do I change the password for my profile?
You can change your profile password by going to “My Account” and then “Settings” where you can make changes to the profile you select, including your password.
What format should my password take?
The password for the Administrator and the Profiles must be 8 characters in length and include both letters and numbers and at least one capital letter (upper case) and one small letter (lower case).
How do I manage my favourite channels?
From the Main Menu, select Live Programme, choose a channel and then select “Add to Favourites”. Alternatively, go to “Settings”, then “Manage Channels” and then select “Favourites” and select the channels you wish to include.
How do I change a profile?
From the Main Menu, go to “My Account”, “Settings” and “Change Profile. Then select the profile you wish to change.
How do I set an age rating for a profile?
From the Main Menu, go to “My Account”, “Settings” and “Change Profile”. Then select the profile you wish to change and go to “Age Rating”. Sub-profiles are created with a “K” age rating.
Can I prevent a channel from being watched by a particular profile?
Yes. Go to “My Account”, “Settings” and click on “Manage Channels”. The channel will be blocked until it is unblocked, only through the use of the Parental PIN.
How do I set an expense limit for a particular profile?
Go to “My Account”, “Settings” and “Change Profile”. Select the profile you wish to change and then click on “Set monthly expense limit”.
How do I switch from one profile to another?
On your Set Top Box, you can switch from one profile to another by pressing the star under the number 7 on the left side of the remote control.
What is a “Pre-set Profile”?
A Pre-set Profile is the one that is automatically selected and opened when the Set Top Box is activated.
How do I select “Pre-set Profile”?
The “Pre-set Profile” can only be activated by the Administrator. From the Main Menu, select “My Account”, “Settings” and “Change Profile”. Select the profile you want and click on “Pre-set Profile”.
How do I activate the viewing of Adult Content?

Viewing can only be activated by the Administrator and should be by the specific profile via the Set Top Box.

From the Main Menu, go to “My Account”, “Settings” and in the Administrator Profile, select “Adult Content”. The system will request the Parental PIN. Once Adult Content is activated, information is provided on the channels that show Adult Content and on Adult Movies.

ATTENTION: Descriptions and images are unsuitable for children. Viewing of such content requires the Parental PIN.

How do I change the pre-set Menu of Language and Subtitles?

To watch channels in the language and/or with the subtitles of your choice, select “My Account” from the Main Menu, “Settings” for the Administrator Profile and then “Language and Subtitles”. Make the change you wish.

The pre-set language and subtitles are activated when you choose a channel that offers a choice of language. This may change on the same channel. If this happens, change channel and then return. The language/subtitles will go back to the pre-set options.
