Mobile Wi-fi Solutions

Cyta offers two Wi-Fi solutions through its mobile network:

  • Mobile Internet Home, for unlimited internet at home via a 5G Router exclusively provided by Cyta.
  • Mobile Broadband, for portable internet anywhere, with specific or unlimited data.

Both operate through Cyta’s reliable 5G network.

Mobile Internet Home operates via a 5G Router provided exclusively by Cyta and requires a fixed power connection. It is available only at the registered installation address and works exclusively within Cyprus. It offers unlimited data, and speeds depend on Cyta’s network capacity in the specific area.

Mobile Broadband, on the other hand, provides portability and flexibility, as it can be used with various devices such as a router, modem, stick, or smartphone, without requiring a power socket. It operates through Cyta’s 5G network, which covers 100% of the population, and can be used both within and outside Cyprus (RLAH – Roam Like At Home applies). It is available with specific or unlimited data volumes, depending on customer needs.

Data usage monitoring applies only to Mobile Broadband, as Mobile Internet Home offers unlimited data.

You can view your usage and remaining data allowance through the MyCyta app or MyCyta web, by adding your Mobile Broadband number to your profile.

If you are using the Mobile Broadband service, first check whether you have available data volume.

Then try restarting the device that contains your Mobile Broadband SIM card.

If the issue persists, contact the Customer Contact Centre at 132 or visit a Cytashop for technical support.

If you are using the Mobile Internet Home service, make sure the Router is connected to power and that there is strong mobile network signal in your area. If the problem continues, please contact 132 for assistance.

Mobile Internet Home comes with a 5G Wi-Fi Router provided exclusively by Cyta, which requires a power connection.

Mobile Broadband can be used with various devices (router, modem, stick, smartphone, etc.), depending on the customer’s needs, and does not necessarily require a power connection.

For Mobile Broadband 3 and 4 plans, a router is included free of charge with a 24-month commitment.

Yes, you can use the Mobile Broadband service abroad.

If you visit an EU country, you can use it just like in Cyprus, with no extra charge, in accordance with the Roam Like At Home (RLAH) regulation.

However, for Mobile Broadband 3 and Mobile Broadband 4 plans, a Fair Use Policy applies — meaning there is a maximum data limit for use while roaming within the EU. Once this limit is reached, any additional usage is charged according to the EU-regulated roaming rates.

If you travel to a non-EU country, your domestic data plan does not apply, and different charges will apply depending on the country and the network you connect to.

The Mobile Internet Home service operates exclusively within Cyprus and cannot be used abroad.

To change the data plan of your Mobile Broadband subscription, simply contact the Cyta Customer Contact Centre at 132 or visit one of Cyta’s retail stores with your ID card.
