What Is VoLTE?

VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE and that is calls performed through the 4G network.

What are the benefits of VoLTE?

Do I get charged for using VoLTE service?

VoLTE is free of charge.

Do I need MB’s to use VoLTE?

No.

Do I have the VoLTE service while I am using a WiFi network?

Yes. Only browsing is performed through the WiFi network. Voice calls are performed through VoLTE.

Do I have the VoLTE service when I deactivate mobile data on my device?

Yes. VoLTE service is still ON while mobile date is deactivated.

Can I use VoLTE while roaming?

VoLTE technology is also available when roaming on foreign networks abroad. To make local calls within the visited country as well as international calls while roaming, dial the country code (eg Cyprus +357) in front of the calling number.

Can I call a non-VoLTE number?

Yes.

Can I perform calls while there is not a 4G coverage?

Yes. When there is not a 4G coverage, customers use the 3G network.

Will a VoLTE call be interrupted if I move to a non-4G area?

No. The call will continue through the 3G network.

Why I cannot have MultiSIM service combined with VoLTE?

MultiSIM is currently unavailable in combination with VoLTE.

My device has the option to activate VoLTE. Why I cannot activate it?

In order for you to enjoy a high-quality service your device needs to be authorized first by Cytamobile-Vodafone. This procedure is performed in accordance with the mobile companies. Authorized devices are being added in our website.

How do I activate VoLTE?
  • You need to have a VoLTE authorized device.
  • You need to have VoLTE service in your mobile plan.
  • VoLTE needs to be activated through settings on your device.
I do not wish to have VoLTE service. What do I do?

You can always deactivate VoLTE through settings on your device. You will no longer perform VoLTE calls. However you still remain a VoLTE customer and thus MultiSIM will not be available to you.

I own a VoLTE authorized device according to Cytamobile-Vodafone website. Why do I still cannot use VoLTE?

Make sure you have the latest software update. Remember to do that on a WiFi network so that you do not use MB for the update.
