soeasy identification

The soeasy identification process is the verification of your personal details (first name, last name, ID) or your company's/organization's details (registered name, registration number) as the owner of the soeasy number. By completing identification, you ensure that your number is securely linked to your personal information offering increased security, fraud protection, and comply with the law regarding the Identification of Owners and Users of Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) or eSIM services for prepaid mobile telephony, in accordance with the 63(Ι) 2024 law.

An essential requirement is the acceptance of the Solemn Declaration.

The identification process applies to anyone who has a soeasy connection in any device, including alarm systems, home automation devices, smartphones, etc.

Registration of owners is only accepted for adult individuals. A minor (<18 years old) can be registered as a user of the service, only if the soeasy has already been registered by an adult. A user must be registered by providing the necessary documents at any Cyta shop.

No, the identification process is free of charge.

Registration process can be performed online, through our official website and MyCyta app or in person at any Cyta store.

If you are a new soeasy customer, you will need to scan your ID or passport, enter the soeasy PUK and accept the Solemn Declaration online or alternatively, present the required documents at a Cyta store.

If you are an existing Cyta customer, simply log in or register on MyCyta app, add your soeasy and accept the Solemn Declaration. Make sure that you have your soeasy sim card with you, in order, to receive the verification code.

Registration of a soeasy for legal entities, non-EU citizens without a passport, holders of old laminated ID cards, and for user declaration (adult or minor) can only be completed at a Cyta store upon presentation of the required documents.

A visit to a Cyta store is also required for SIM cards installed in non-removable devices (such as elevators or alarm systems).

For electronic identification:

Before proceeding, make sure you have your identification documents and your soeasy ready. Copy of the identification documents will be kept only until the identification process is complete.

If you are already a Cyta customer, you can register your soeasy directly in your name without going through the identification process.

For corporate soeasy number identification visit one of our stores or authorized Cyta partners, making sure you have with you the Company's Registration document and Directors’ Certification. For more information, call 150.

  • Cypriot citizens will be identified with their Cypriot ID card.
  • Citizens of EU countries will be identified with their ID/passport.
  • Citizens of non-EU countries will be identified with their passport.
  • Citizens of non-EU countries without a passport can be identified only in our stores or through authorized Cyta partners with their immigration permit or proof of application for International Protection or Permanent Residence Permit.

You must also have your SIM card and the PUK of your soeasy.

The PUK is a unique security code. You can find it in the packaging that came with your card, or you may contact us through the available customer service channels.

Your identification is final. The deletion of your personal details is only possible in cases of service termination or transfer of ownership of the soeasy. If the soeasy changes ownership, the new owner must be identified and register the card in their name.

You can check the details you have registered by logging into the MyCyta app.

Buying a pre-registered soeasy without changing the ownership details limits your ability to receive service and we cannot provide you with information regarding your soeasy or assistance with security issues such as loss unless we can identify you as the owner. It is better to avoid buying or selling a registered soeasy. The registered owner remains the legal user of the soeasy and is legally responsible for its use.

To transfer your number to the Cyta network, in addition to the acceptable identification documents, you will need your SIM card and proof of ownership if you have already been identified with the other provider.

Transfer of soeasy ownership is done in the presence of both parties at a Cyta store or an authorized Cyta partner, with the required identification documents. The solemn declaration must be signed by the new owner.

Your personal information is retained by Cyta for the entire duration of your soeasy service for purposes of managing your services and products, handling complaints and inquiries, and managing telecommunications fraud. For more information, you can review Cyta's privacy policy here.
