When do I choose the NB-IoT plans?

NB-IoT plans are recommended in cases where the following requirements are met:

  • Exclusively use in terminal equipment compatible with NB-IoT technology.
  • Only small amounts of data are transmitted (up to 3MB/month).
  • Frequent connection/communication of the device with the network is not required (5-7 times a day).
  • In cases of installation of sensors/devices in hard-to-reach places (building basements) or underground.
  • In cases where the meters are not connected to the mains and therefore need their own energy source (eg natural gas and water).
What are the technical requirements for the operation of NB-IoT?

The apn on the NarrowBand device may need to be set to “iot”.
It may be necessary to set on the NarrowBand device the PLMN parameter equal to 28001 and the Band parameter equal to 20.
The device as well as the communication server can support the IPV4 or IPV4/IPv6 protocols.
