Mr Kostas Koumis was born in Paralimni in 1977. He studied Business Administration at Coventry University and then he acquired a Master’s Degree in Media and Communication.
He worked for several years at the House of Representatives and later he moved to the education sector, working as a Director General for a Private College.
Then he was employed as the Director of Marketing and Communication of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry and later as the Director General of the Famagusta District Development Agency, mostly known as TEBEA.
Nowadays he is a Director at a private real estate development group. At the same time, he is an Associate Lecturer at UCLan University-Cyprus.
He served Cyprus Tourism as the Vice-Chairman of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation between March 2014 to December 2018.
In January 2019 he was appointed by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus as the Vice- Chairman of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta).
He is married with two children.
