The Makarios Teleport obtains full Tier 4 certification (the highest standard of excellence) from the World Teleport Association (WTA) and is now one of just 16 teleports around the world to have gained this certification.

2022The new ARSINOE subsea cable system comes into operation, bringing a significant upgrade to Cyprus’ telecommunications and the country’s place in the international digital environment.
Cyta has announced the completion of the island-wide 5G mobile network, offering state-of-the-art telecommunication services throughout the country, even to its most remote corners. Cyprus became the first EU member-state to cover 100% of its population with 5G technology.
