Mr Leontios Philotheou was born in 1979 in Strovolos and lives in Arediou in the province of Nicosia. He is married to Angeliki Loizou and they have two children.
He graduated with honors from the Acropolis High School in 1997 and served his military service as a Reserve Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master of Science degree in Total Quality Management and Performance Management.
He is Certified Management Consultant, Approved Trainer of the Human Resources Development Authority and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors in Cyprus.
He has been working since 2005 as a Quality and Business Consultant, while since 2015 he has been the Consulting Director at Kyprianides & Associates, Chartered Accountants and Business Consultants. He is also a Director at Whiteboard Consultants Ltd, a boutique communications agency.
He is the President of the Pancyprian Union of Chemists since 2017.
He served as a member of the Executive Secretariat of the Cyprus Youth Council as well as a member of the Board of the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation from 2010 to 2014.
In August 2021 Mr Leontios Philotheou was appointed Member of the Board of the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta).
