Cyta provides telemedicine services for Cyprus-Israel cooperation against COVID-19

According to a recent announcement, at the suggestion of the University of Nicosia School of Medicine and the Sheba Medical Centre in Israel, Famagusta General Hospital and the Sheba Medical Centre, the COVID-19 referral hospitals in the two countries respectively, a cooperation agreement was signed providing for the exchange of know-how related to managing cases of COVID-19 being treated in the two hospitals and to the treatment methods being implemented. At the same time, the Ministry of Health has linked the Intensive Care Unit at Famagusta General Hospital to its counterpart at the Sheba Medical Centre for the exchange of treatment protocols and experience to ensure the best possible support of patients.

For the implementation of this important agreement between the two countries, Cyta will offer the specialised know-how required for setting up and operating the telemedicine platform on behalf of Cyprus. At the same time, the Organisation will undertake responsibility for training users of the platform.
