With your phone as a modem

One of the advantages that many smartphones bear, is their ability to become a wi-fi hotspot. This provides the capability to the users to distribute the volume included in their tariff plan to a number of devices (i.e laptop, tablet or another smartphone). In the following section we provide instructions of how to turn your smartphone into a wi-fi hot spot.

Always make sure that you have the most suitable tariff plan for your needs before turning your smartphone into a wi-fi hotspot in order to avoid unecessary bill shocks. Sending or receiving large volumes of data by any of the devices on your private network can lead to increased charges if you do not have the approppriate tariff plan. You can be informed of the available Cytamobile-Vodafone tariff plans by visiting www.cyta.com.cy/mobile-internet-for-mobile-phone.

In addition the use of your smartphone as a wi-fi hotspot tends to consume the battery faster therefore it is adviced that you keep it fully charged before using it.
