Cytamobile-Vodafone and Microsoft today announced the launch of Windows Mobile® Email, supported across a wide range of mobile devices with Windows Mobile operating system.

Windows Mobile® Email is a comprehensive mobile email solution easy to set up, manage and use. The service provides Cytamobile-Vodafone customers, with all the Microsoft Outlook functionality and experience (emails, contacts, calendar and tasks) on a mobile phone.

"With the launch of Windows Mobile® Email we provide our customers with another useful tool, helping them improve their responsiveness and productivity at all times and assist them in being more organized and more in touch when they are on the move" said  Photis Savvides, Cyta’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

With this new solution customers can:

• Send and receive emails instantly, in real time from a new email address xxx@cytamail.com.cy as well as send and receive emails from existing email addresses at time intervals they will define. Also, open, view, edit and send email attachments

• Manage calendar and contacts and use familiar Microsoft Office applications such as Word Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile and Excel Mobile.

• Access the internet and Vodafone live!

• Manage emails, attachments, contacts, calendar and tasks through Outlook web access from any PC connected to the internet, from anywhere in the world.

The service can be used anywhere in Cyprus and whilst abroad at more than 130  networks in 70 countries with which Cytamobile-Vodafone has in place International Roaming Agreements for GPRS and /or 3G, with lower charges at the selected Vodafone networks. Windows Mobile® Email is offered as an additional service for the two Cytamobile-Vodafone Pay Monthly plans. The charging is based on a monthly subscription and thereafter is based on Mobile Data usage. In addition, the customers can select one of the available Mobile Data Packages, Mobile Data 10 and Mobile Data 50, according to their needs. It should be noted that the Mobile Data charges have decreased since the 1st of December 2007. Roaming charges differ, but the customers can enjoy preferential rates when roaming on a Vodafone or partner network (relevant information can be found at Cytamobile-Vodafone’s webpage). Note that the Windows Mobile® email monthly subscription is offered free of charge until February 29th, 2008.
