SAFE INTERNET! A NEW SERVICE FROM CYTANET
Protection from undesirable and
harmful Internet content is now available to CYTANET customers
through its new Safe Internet service. Safe Internet is aimed,
primarily, at parents who wish to monitor and prevent access to any
online content that they consider harmful and unsuitable for their
children.
The service is available from October 30, upon
application, for a monthly subscription fee of £1,20 plus VAT.
A relatively simple and practical procedure enables
the user/parent to select categories of Internet content, specific
websites and/or Internet applications, which can or cannot be
accessible to the children. The parent can also determine the amount
of time that each child is allowed for surfing the Internet.
CYTANET’s Safe Internet offers, among others, the
following advantages to better serve the differing needs of a
growing family:
-
Installation of the filtering
software on up to three (3) computers in the customer’s home.
-
Creation of up to five (5)
different user profiles.
-
A choice of more than 30
different categories of content for filtering.
-
Scheduling of days and hours of
Internet access.
-
Remote management of the Safe
Internet service.
