INCREASED BUSINESS
FREEDOM VIA TELECONFERENCING
The Teleconferencing Service,
which has been operating commercially since the beginning of
February 2005, promises to make communication within the business
community even easier, CYTA officials told at a press conference in
Nicosia today, Tuesday February 22.
The new service from CYTA offers businesses and
organisations audio and video communication as well as simultaneous
transmission of presentations. Up to 24 users in different parts of
the world can take part in a videoconference.
For its customers’ convenience, CYTA has prepared
suitably adapted premises in all towns of Cyprus and installed
special terminal equipment in them. Alternatively, customers may
utilise the service from their own premises via their own terminal
equipment.
The Teleconferencing Service provides significant
benefits to customers, including savings on time and costs - by
reducing travel expenses and enabling faster decision-making since
teleconferences can be organised with minimum planning – as well as
increased productivity and efficiency.
Teleconferencing Services charges:
-
Teleconferencing studio hire:
£17,50 per 30 minutes’ use per studio, with a minimum charge of
one hour’s use.
-
Use of CYTA equipment:
£17,50 per 30 minutes’ use for each teleconferencing location.
Please note that studio hire and equipment charges in
another country are the responsibility of the customer’s partner
abroad.
Additionally, customers will be charged for calls
made for the purpose of the teleconference in accordance with
existing Fixed Telephony call rates and the number of lines utilised:
for dual-location teleconferencing six lines are required while for
multiple-location teleconferences twelve lines are utilised.
An indicative sample: For a teleconference between
Cyprus and Greece, the total cost of calls (dual location) would be
6 lines at 3,36 cents/min, while for multiple locations the cost
would be calculated at 12 lines at 3,36 cents/min per location.
For further information, interested parties should
