Press Release: 70/2003 Changes to CYTA call rates
From September 1, in line with its policy of constantly reviewing its cost-based service charges, CYTA is changing its international call rates for calls to mobile and fixed telephones and to satellite systems, as well as call rates from fixed telephones to CYTA mobile phones (within Cyprus).
Specifically, international call rates to 30 countries and nine satellite systems will be affected. Regarding calls to fixed telephones, rates to 21 countries are affected, with reductions almost everywhere ranging from 6% to 65%.
Concerning calls to mobile telephones, rates to a total of 28 countries are affected. In 20 of these, reductions between 5% and 68% are being applied. In the remaining eight countries, rates will increase from 6%-41%.
The main destinations to which the greatest telephone traffic is observed and which are affected by the above changes are the following:

CYTA also announces that from September 1, a new call rate is being applied to calls from fixed telephones to CYTA mobile telephones (within Cyprus). Specifically, call charges will rise from 0.030 cents/second (i.e. an average of 1.8 cents/minute) to 0.037 cents/second (i.e. an average of 2.2 cents/minute). The minimum charge of 2 cents remains.
