Press Release: 34/2002 New number for the SMS Service Centre
Within the frame of the National Numbering Plan (NNP), CYTA wishes to remind all customers of mobile telephony that as from June 1st, 2002, the SMS Service Centre number will change.
The Service Centre's number that should be stored on the subscribers' mobile phones to enable them send Text Messages, will change from +357 9700000 to +35799700000.
Subscribers who have not stored the correct number for the Service Centre on their mobile phones will not be able to send Text Messages while they are abroad.
Changing the SMS Service Centre number is a simple procedure that can be done through the menu options of your mobile phone. Menu options vary based on the model of the mobile phone, therefore it is recommended that subscribers refer to the User Manual of their mobile phone for instructions.
