Press Release: 77/2001 Cybee: Mobile Portal by CYTA On July 23, 2001 CYTA began the pilot operation of the first mobile portal in Cyprus called cybee.  The services offered by cybee, with the exception of WAP services, will be free of charge for the public until August 31, 2001, while on September 1, 2001 this new service will begin its commercial operation. Cybee is a mobile portal designed especially for the contemporary consumer who needs to have fast and immediate access to information or sources of information anytime of the day and from anywhere.  This pioneer portal has been designed in such a way so that the information and services it provides are easily accessible by multiple means of access.  Cybee services are accessible in three ways: Text Messages (SMS): sending SMS through mobile phones to the numbers 2000 and 3000, WAP mobile phone: connecting to cybee at wap.cybee.cyta.com.cy Internet: connection to cybee at www.cybee.cyta.com.cy CYTA is aiming to the continuous upgrading of cybee by including new categories of services that will make life easier for its customers anytime and anywhere.  At the first stage, cybee will offer four categories of services, which are the following: 1. Phone Finder: Finding out the phone number of a specific person, company, taxi office, cinema, restaurant, emergency pharmacy, as these are listed in the CYTA telephone directories. Finding out the name of a subscriber by providing his/her phone number as long as the subscriber is listed in the CYTA telephone directories. 2. Personal Assistant Provides the user with the possibility to send up to ten SMS per day free of charge from the cybee web site to any CYTAGSM or soeasy customer. an email account free of charge that can be accessed by WAP as well as by any computer connected to the Internet. the possibility to be immediately notified about new e-mails on his/her mobile and with the possibility to view the sender and subject of the last three or five e-mails. 3. Fun and Games: It provides the users with the last results of Lotto, Proto and Joker, as soon as these are announced by OPAP. It gives the possibility to send SMS through the chat service to up to five people simultaneously. 4. Financial Services: Easy and fast information about the latest Cyprus Stock Exchange closing prices.
