The fastest connection to the Internet!The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority’s CYTANET service, keeping its promise to continuously update its international connections to the Internet, has completed works to extend the Authority’s Internet connection with Genuity-BBN, USA, one of the biggest international Internet Service Providers.
The CYTANET service is provided entirely via fibre optic cables, while the total capacity for international Internet connection has increased to 61Mbps! More specifically, CYTANET’s international connections are:
45Mbps/s - Genuity-BBN, USA
16Mbp/s - Teleglobe, USAThe successful steps that CYTA is taking with regards to the CYTANET service prove that the Authority is constantly and consistently investing in the field of upgrading the service itself and also customer service. As a result of these actions, CYTANET today ranks first as the biggest and fastest Internet Service Provider in Cyprus and is continuously increasing the number of its international customers from neighbouring countries.
The success of CYTANET brings CYTA even closer to the achievement of its main goal, which is to become the first hub in the area offering Internet services to customers not only in Cyprus but also in neighbouring countries.
