The Text Messages Service on a commercial basis
Charges effective from 1 July 2000The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority would like to inform its CYTAGSM customers that the trial period during which the Text Messages service is offered free of charge expires on 30 June 2000 and that from 1 July 2000, it will be offered on a commercial basis with the following charges:
The above rates do not include Cyprus VAT charges.
- Sending a text message from Cyprus to any destination:
4 cents per message
- Sending a text message while being abroad to any destination:
Charges per message as applied by the foreign organization plus 5%, which is the extra rate CYTA charges for international roaming services.It is clarified that the ability to send and receive text messages is offered without any extra connection or monthly charges to all the CYTAGSM customers. At this stage SYMPHONY customers can only receive text messages.
