Changes to the CYTAGSM and SYMPHONY services The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority informs the customers of the CYTAGSM and SYMPHONY services that as from January 20, 2000, the method with which the Voice Mail system notifies them of the receipt of a new message in their Voicebox will change.
Specifically, every time the customers receive a new message in their Voicebox, they will be informed about it by an SMS (Short Message Service) notification followed by two Notification Calls: the first one, 5 minutes after receiving the SMS notification and the second one, 20 minutes later. If they are using their mobile phone abroad, they will only receive an SMS notification.
According to the previous method of operation of the Voicemail system, customers received up to four Notification Calls at intervals of 20 minutes.
The decision to reduce the number of the Notification Calls was taken in order to better serve our customers, as a survey on the subject concluded that two Notification Calls are sufficient to meet their needs.
