Drastic reductions to monthly CytaNet service charge In line with international developments regarding the Internet and as part of its efforts to provide Internet access to as large a section of the Cypriot public as possible, CYTA has slashed its monthly charge for the CytaNet service by as much as 35%.
As from Tuesday, March 14, 2000, the monthly access charge for the CytaNet service will be reduced from £11.00 to £7.00 while access via the ISDN service will be lowered from £18.00 to £12.00 (All the reductions are set out in the accompanying table).
It is worth noting that these reductions are a direct result of the lower cost of provision of the CytaNet service due to the large increase in the number of customers subscribing to the service, especially from the business sector.
CytaNet is the largest Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Cyprus with 19,000 on-line customers. It continues to provide the best quality access at speeds up to 19Mbps via fibre optic cables, while CYTA is working systematically to enhance and upgrade the service constantly.
The measures outlined above are tangible proof of CYTA's commitment to giving a direct response to its customers' needs, thereby making a decisive contribution towards successfully making Cyprus an integral part of today's information society.
