CYTAGSM & SYMPHONY
New Free of Charge FacilitiesThe Cyprus Telecommunications Authority is pleased to inform the customers of the CYTAGSM and SYMPHONY services that as from February 14, 2000, they will be able to use the new facilities of Call Waiting and Call Hold. These facilities, which will be free of charge, will allow them to handle two calls simultaneously.
The Call Waiting facility enables the customers to receive a second call while they are talking on their mobile phone. A characteristic tone and a message displayed on the screen of their mobile phone will inform them of the second call. They will have the following options:
The Call Hold facility enables the customers to set the current call on hold and, if they wish, make a second call. Then, they can switch between the two calls. The customers of the SYMPHONY service can make the second call provided that they have not initiated the first call.
- To ignore the second call and continue their conversation.
- To terminate the second call and continue their conversation.
- To terminate the current call and answer the second call.
- To set the current call on hold and answer the second call. Then, they can switch between the two calls.
A leaflet with the instructions of how to use the above facilities has already been posted to all of the customers of the CYTAGSM service along with the telephone bill of January. Also, this same leaflet and a leaflet relevant to the SYMPHONY service will be available at all CYTA Customer Service Offices.
The same instructions may also be found on the Internet on the webpage of CYTA mobile services: http://www.cytanet.com.cy/cyta/cytagsm/.
Furthermore, customers may refer to their mobile phone user manual as all of the procedures may be carried out via the mobile phone menu.
For further information customers may visit any of our Customer Service Offices or call our Customer Service Centre on 132 during office hours.
